skate park

a challenging environment for skateboarders.

From the day it opened in March 2015, there has been someone using the skate park almost every day of the year. It provides a safe and challenging environment for skateboarders and scooter riders of all ages and abilities.

It is described by the skateboarding community as “A fun little skate park with a bit of everything to skate: fun boxes, rails, ledges, euro gaps, stairs and some transition.”

It is almost constantly in use in daylight hours, with seating and litterbins nearby, and access to the wider PARC.

We have developed a safe tarmac path from town, via the OK Path, to ensure that all skate park visitors can reach the site in safety.

If you have enjoyed your time here, please drop some coins into the pay post by the skate park to help us keep the PARC safe, maintained, insured and most importantly open for you to use.

Our BMX track was built in 2016 and has proved a great success with riders of all ages and abilities.  It’s amazing to watch some of our younger visitors taking all the bends at speed but note that it is still challenging enough to attract many older riders.

Our local Triathlon event has in the past used the track as part of their event, as have Heaven of the South cross country bike event.

running trail

a 5km off road trail.

The PARC running trail is a 2.5 km off-road trail with ups and downs, grass and gravel, and known as The Butterfly for its particular shape.

The trail is available throughout the year but be prepared to get muddy during the winter months.

The Butterfly is used by parkrun on Saturdays (everyone) and Sundays (juniors) between 8am and 10 am, so not in general use just at those particular times.

At all other times it is available for anyone who wants to walk or run it for improving health and fitness, or just to enjoy the wonderful views the PARC has to offer.  There are some solid wooden benches around the trail where you can sit and rest a while if the mood takes you, too.

Occasionally it is used for cross country events by KLB students, Gloucestershire County Cross Country group and fundraising Fun Runs.

wotton sports centre

Wotton Community PARC (WCP) has a valuable working arrangement with Wotton Community Sports Centre (WCSC), a separate organisation, situated on the KLB School site next door, which provides changing, showering and parking facilities for the sports teams using the bookable pitches found within Wotton Community PARC.

This is where you can book any of our sports pitches.
